Driving Test Strike
Driving tests were disrupted on Monday (17-7-06) by strike action by examiners. The dispute is over the loss of 80 jobs due to reorganisation. This follows a report by consultants that cost the agency 1/3 million pounds! The agency is under a lot of criticism for its frequent employment of consultants who know little or nothing of the real business of training and examining new drivers.
